*A female motorist died when her car burst into flames after being hit by a Porsche Cayenne on the M40 motorway.*

The driver, believed to be in her 60s, broke down in the middle of the motorway and the silver Porsche was unable to come to a stop in time to avoid the collision.
The car lurched 50 metres down the road following the crash before bursting into flames, as other motorists looked on in horror – unable to help the victim, who died in the inferno on the M40's southbound carriageway in Buckinghamshire.
A witness said: 'The car was just a blackened wreck and it would have been hard to survive that.
‘It was a scene of devastation and just sad to know someone lost their life.'
Police said the woman's body was so badly burned they may need to consult dental records in order to identify her.
A Thames Valley Police spokesman said: ‘We are making inquiries to try to identify the woman victim in this incident but it is likely this will have to be done from dental records.’
A passenger from the Porsche has been taken to Wexham Park Hospital in Slouth with injuries, but their condition is not yet known.
The driver slowed to a stop as she headed towards London on the M40, with the Porsche travelling not far behind.
It took 20 firefighters to put out the blaze, with a screen being erected around the mangled car to shield motorists' view as the victim's remains were removed from the vehicle.
All four lanes of the M40 southbound between junctions three and two in Beaconsfield were closed as a result of the accident.
The police spokesman added: ‘There are significant delays in the area and drivers are asked to both be patient and if possible use an alternative route.
‘Officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed this incident as well as the driving of the car before it broke down on the motorway.’
