Sam Firth has filmed herself in the same place, at the same time, every day for the 12 months.
The summer solstice on June 21 will be her last day after being paid more than £160 for each hour spent shooting Stay The Same.
Miss Firth, 37, has been given £10,000, made up jointly by the British Film Institute and Creative Scotland and granted by taxpayers’ money and lottery funding. She lives on Knoydart peninsula on the west coast of, Scotland, termed Britain’s last wilderness and home to 115 people.
It can be reached only by boat or walking 29km (18 miles) from a road over 1,065m (3,500ft) high hills. She will edit about 60 hours of footage to create a ten-minute film ‘highlighting the changes and the journey I’ve been through’.
Miss Firth wrote in her latest blog entry: ‘The closer I get to finishing, the more I have been questioning both the film and why I’ve put myself through this.
‘I can’t wait to go and see my friends and family in London, sit on a train and look out of the window and see new places.’
Stay The Same is her third film after awards for The Worm Inside.
