Nu/Hart Hair Transplants Experienced President Rings in on Success

Reported by i-Newswire.com on Wednesday, 8 August 2012 (on August 8, 2012)

Seasoned president of Nu/Hart Hair Transplants Kathy Smith knows how to build a winning business. With a multitude of successful clinics and over 120 professional employees in the United States and overseas Smith shares her secrets for success.

Kathy Smith has served as president of Nu/Hart for over two decades. A world leader in hair restoration, Nu/Hart has grown over the years to now include 11 clinics in the U.S. and overseas, with over 120 employees, 14 Board-certified physicians, and boasting over 30,000 hair restoration procedures performed.

And while many people would expect a man to be at the helm of a hair transplant organization, Ms. Smith is quick to point out why she, as a woman, is well-suited for her role.

"Women are used to taking care of people," Smith explains. We take of our children, our husband, and with Nu/Hart, we are simply taking care of people who are thinning and balding."

Nu/Hart started in Pittsburgh in 1986. Other offices in the U.S., such as New York, Chicago, Phildelphia and Atlanta, soon followed, and now Nu/Hart can also be found in international locations such as London, United Arab Emirates, India, Hong Kong, Puerto Rico, and the Philippines.

After coming in for a free, private consultation to determine one's candidacy for hair transplantation, hair loss clients then turn to Kathy Smith and the Nu/Hart medical team to lead them down the path of regrowing their hair.

"The average procedure, performed in-office, takes 3 1/2 to 4 hours, and then takes six to nine months for the hair to grow in," says Smith. "Some people do want a second or third session, but that's up to them. Our approach is that we want to give them one session that will look natural amd will be a great improvement, even if they don't continue and have any further work done."

A big reward for Smith is her daily contact with Nu/Hart's patients. She stresses the importance of understanding the concerns of each and every hair loss client.

Smith reveals, "I ask clients every day, 'Why would you like to have this process done?' and I get a variety of reasons, including everything from re-entering the dating scene to wanting to look more youthful in the next job interview. There are literally hundreds of different reasons, but the common response I hear in all of them is 'my hair loss bothers me.' We at Nu/Hart take great pride in not only helping to remove the hair loss burden, but also witnessing how hair restoration is usually the first step in many other self-improvement steps. For after one gets back his own growing hair, a renewed sense of self-confidence and self-esteem soon follows."

Smith and her husband, Steve, are parents of four, and Ms. Smith considers Nu/Hart to be a part of her extended family.
