London, UK (PRWEB UK) 7 July 2012

Curzon Street Limitedext provides a range of financial planning and advisory services to high net worth families.

It is with great pleasure and complete confidence that I welcome Maryam Mansoury-Edstrom and John Irwin to the team. I very much look forward to working with them.”

London continues to lie at the heart of the market for high net worth families and there is an increasing requirement for firms such as Curzon Street. As reflected in these new hires, high-end asset and financial management continues to be a dynamic industry in London despite the financial gloom over Europe.

Maryam Mansoury-Edstrom will be joining Magdi Jameelext and the senior management teamext at Curzon Street Limited as the new Chief Investment Officer, bringing with him his extensive knowledge of the industry and his experience in senior positions at the major finance and investment firms.

Maryam Mansoury-Edstrom is fluent in French, Farsi, Spanish and English. He studied finance, business and foreign languages at both the American College in Paris and the internationally acclaimed Sorbonne University. His career to date has been highly successful. He started out in 1989 at Credit Suisse First Boston in the UK as an associate in the Global Equity Strategy branch. He stayed there for three years before moving on to The Lehman Brothers as a Chief Emerging Markets Strategist, concentrating on the Emerging Europe, Middle East and South African markets. He was promoted after two years to the role of Vice President for Global Emerging Markets Investment. During his time at Lehman Brothers he was based out of both London and New York. In 1998 he accepted a job at DNB Nor Asset Management as Head of global emerging markets and Asia as well as managing director and CEO. During this period he was based out of both London and Hong Kong. Since 2007 he has been based in the UK and has gained further experience in consultancy and investment management in Mount Capital Ltd, Altera Partners Ltd and Hampton Investment Management LLP.

Curzon Street Limited is equally enthused by the hire of John Irwin as the new Finance Director. John Irwin has an equally impressive CV and will undoubtedly prove to be a great asset for the company.

After graduating with a distinction in accounting from the University of Westminster, John Irwin went on to work for KPMG before joining Lloyds Bank PLC and then JP Morgan. After gaining extensive skills from working at the very heart of the banking sector John Irwin became Finance Director of the Geneva based NGO World Council of Churches in 1995. He continued to be based out of Geneva while working as Finance Manager for RJR Tobacco followed by Financial Controller for Safra SA Family Investment Office. Sigma Asset Management Ltd, where he subsequently worked, gave him valuable experience in the managing of family wealth and the analysis of private equity investment opportunities making him ideal for the job of Finance Director at Curzon Street Limited.
