uTest, the leading provider of in-the-wild software testing, today awarded LoYakk with a £5000 cheque for winning the most usable app among all Race for Apps finalists.

London, UK (PRWEB UK) 1 July 2012

The 2012 Race for Apps celebrated the innovative developers based in and around Shoreditch, challenging them to produce apps for visitors to the 2012 Olympic games. As sponsor of a special prize for usability, uTest’s judges named LoYakk as the most usable app, which earned them a prize of £5000.

Sadiq Quasim of LoYakk, explains that “this prize money is going directly into our marketing efforts to support the millions of potential users who can be part of the 2012 summer events. uTest enabled us to test quickly and comprehensively, utilising testers with core competences in the various app platforms, allowing us to focus on delivering a high quality product”

LoYakk was created to enable casual conversations anywhere within a venue. Whether its a sports event, concert, conference, or an event on the other side of the world, LoYakk enables its users to go beyond their friends and followers and chat with people at a venue. Its an app that represents the massive growth of social media and applies this to help people build connections at big events such as the Olympics.

Stewart Noakes, uTest’s UK Ambassador, states, "We were particularly impressed with LoYakk in the way they made the user experience so simple and intuitive, and we look forward to seeing great things from them in the future.  Building in user-centric quality from the start is a key enabler to fast take up of an app."
