After supplying thousands of people from all over the world with their home gold plating kits, they have turned their attention to the hottest thing in Britain this summer - and we don't mean the weather!

Imagine going to any major sporting event in the country and coming away with your own GOLD MEDAL at the end of it, well, Gold Solutions are producing 5000 'limited edition' 24k gold plated medals with the logo 'I was there' on them which would allow you to do just that.
These are solid metal medals weighing 2.2 ounces each and are plated firstly in 18k gold and then they will receive a final plate of 24k gold, and are complete with a red, white and blue ribbon.
Terry George, founder of Gold Solutions said "We thought it would be great fun for many 'ordinary' people if they could share in the glory of actually owning a gold medal this year, especially if they have seen somebody else win one, as it is unlikely that they would ever get the chance to own one otherwise. We are only producing 5000 as this will guarantee that it is truly unique and a valuable keepsake.
We have also set up a page on the charity site JustGiving where people can make a £20 donation to the Have a Heart charity (part of Heart Radio) and then receive a £20 discount on this totally unique medal. Quite simply, anyone who supports this wonderful charity deserves a medal - and we think it should be 24k gold plated."
It is said that there will be 300,000 visitors A DAY in Stratford, London between the 27th July and the 12th August and most of them are there to see someone get a gold medal, well now some of them could have an 'I was there' gold medal of their own. However with just 5000 being produced, most will be disappointed, and there is not even a silver or bronze one for coming second or third.
With so much interest from the media this year in sporting events in the UK, the topic of gold medals is something that will be on millions of people's minds daily and perhaps Gold Solutions should keep a track of the nationality of who actually buys the medals and publish the results to see how the UK got on.

At the moment we are doing this through already established reputable charitable organisations, but I would like to think that by this time next year Gold Solutions will have its own registered charity with a wide range of fundraising schemes based on the 'gold' theme.'"
