The Quest for UK’s Smartest IT is a knowledge center for IT professionals. It offers a website full of research and tools to help IT departments in the UK become smarter and greener in their use of technology. This allows companies to better their business, and the communities in which they operate. The Smartest IT was created by Info-Tech Research Group, an IT market research company, and offers a subset of Info-Tech research for free around these six hot topic areas:
1. Cloud
2. Collaboration
3. Green IT
4. Managed Risk
5. B.I.
6. Infrastructure
Smartest IT was created two years ago in Canada. The program was well received and gained sponsorships from both small and large companies. From IBM, Avaya, and Compugen to several associations such as CIPS and ThinkGreen Alliance, it also brought in one of Canada’s leading newspapers, The Globe and Mail. The Smartest IT program, in partnership with The City of London Telecom, allows Canada the chance to provide IT research and tools to the UK market through The Quest for UK’s Smartest IT.
