 A report has uncovered recently that the revamp of a ward at the Royal Marsden cancer centre in Chelsea is being charged a huge VAT of £460,000.
The businessman, 78, who donated a sum of £2.3m for the refurbishment of the ward in the west London cancer hospital, has been strictly opposing the same. It is being claimed by him that the VAT is not liable as charitable giving is provided with a tax relief.
