Dear Mischa Barton,

When we first saw photos of you opening a new London flagship store ext

called Mischa's Place ext

this morning, we couldn't believe it. It's the best we've seen you ext

look since, well, "The O.C." was on primetime.

We've always had a soft spot for you, and not just because your character Marissa Cooper liked bad boys and was totally rich. (Okay, it's mostly that.) We also like to root for the underdog. Who doesn't want their childhood TV star to shine again?

It is undeniable, however, that there have been a few rough patches for you along the way. (And no, we're not just talking about the time you played a pregnant prostitute named "Sunny" on "Law & Order: SVU." ext

) Your style has suffered over the years. There were those unflattering high-waisted yellow pants ext

, a very visible panty line ext

, an unforgettable bondage-inspired dress ext

, and few ill-advised attempts to rock the hipster look ext

. We'll leave it at that.

Lately, however, your style has been looking up. Yes, there is still a little too much side boob for our liking ext

, and okay, this shirt is too sheer ext

, but overall, you look like yourself again! And best of all: You look healthy ext
